Treasures of the Tide

August 27, 2009

This summer we went to Monterey, CA for a time. One afternoon, we visited the tide pools. Tiny pockets, teaming with miniature life, each is like a perfect magnified droplet, a shining mirror of treasures.
In some subliminal way, it inspires me. The textures, the colors, make an appearance in my knitted projects, and in my hand spun yarns.

The fresh taste of the ocean breeze, salty on my lips, the thunder and hiss of the foaming waves, remained on my mind long after we left.
