Schacht Competition

Bee Mice Close up

I did it! I entered the Schacht “I made it on my Schacht” competition! A bold move, since I have only been spinning since last spring, but I decided that I can’t win if I don’t try. I entered two skeins, both are fingering weight. One is an interesting blend of soysilk and merino from PigeonRoofStudio. She has beautiful yarn and fiber and if you haven’t, you really ought to go visit her ETSY shop. For reference, soysilk is tough to spin. I’ve never spun it before, and probably never will again! The second entry is from Bee Mice, a new comer on the fiber market, but boy, oh boy, is her fiber pretty! Also on ETSY, if you want to check out her shop. I spun the Bee Mice Elf as a 3 ply, the PigeonRoofStudios as a Navajo ply, which is also a type of three ply. Cross your fingers and wish me luck! Finalists will be announced in 2 weeks!

I love both of them, but I really love the colors in your second picture!! Orange with the pink, yellow, and bit of blue! Very vintage looking. Good luck!
